About Us
Binti means daughter in Swahili and Circle represents unity, community, love, and commitment.
The Binti Circle is a fiscally-sponsored intergenerational support network that creates space for former and current Black daughter caregivers to share their pain points, trials, best caregiving practices, advice, and offer mental/emotional support in a no-judgment zone, virtual group chat, and interactive creative workshops with a focus on holistic wellness. It is a reminder of togetherness, sisterhood, and “selfullness”...that sweet spot between selfishness and selflessness. The Binti Circle Bosisi (sisters in siSwati) are in all stages of their lives and caregiving journeys. The ages range from 28-67 and everyone is able to support on some level.

Our Mission
As Black women we face a myriad of trials as caregivers. Caring for others while attempting to manage careers, finances, personal well-being, in addition to cultural expectations is demanding. By providing a platform to support Black daughter caregivers, the narrative of arduousness is shifted, health is improved, and voice of the marginalized Black daughter caregiver is amplified. The Binti Circle represents a collective of Black daughterhood and sisterhood and intends to create a community of holistically well Black daughter caregivers, mind, body and spirit.
Our Values & Approach
At the Binti Circle, our values of compassion, inclusivity, and empowerment guide our community. We treat each individual with respect and understanding, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by black women caregivers. Our approach focuses on holistic support, addressing physical, emotional, and mental well-being. We foster a nurturing environment through open dialogue, active listening, and shared experiences. We advocate for self-care, equitable access to resources, and collaboration with other organizations. Binti Circle is dedicated to empowering black women caregivers, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and empowered as they navigate elder care.
